Charlie Cox, known for his role as Daredevil, has confirmed his involvement in an unannounced video game developed by Sega. The actor shared this news during New York Comic-Con 2026, revealing that he has finished recording his lines for the project.
"I did another one! It doesn’t have a name yet," Cox told IGN. "I did a Sega one. I’ve done one since. It hasn’t come out yet. It was fun to do. It’s a whole different job, man."
Cox also shared an amusing anecdote about the recording process, explaining that the game's development team was not initially aware he was British. "I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say, but I showed up for it, and I met them for the first time, they asked me to do this game, and so I agreed to it," he stated. "Then I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was, and I showed up for the first day, and I was like, ‘Hi guys, nice to meet you! How are you?’ And all of them went, ‘...oh, he’s English.’ They’d hoped, they’d wanted him to be American. But now I’ve got to do 40 hours of lines I’ve not prepared in an accent. Yeah, I think they thought I was American."
This detail suggests that Cox will be portraying a character with an American accent, and given the extensive 40-hour recording commitment, his role is likely to be significant to the game's narrative. This marks another foray into voice acting for Cox, who previously lent his voice to Gustave in the 2025 game Expedition 33, a performance that earned him a nomination for Best Performance at The Game Awards that year.
While Sega has several announced titles on the horizon, including Stranger Than Heaven, Virtua Fighter Crossroads, Persona 6, and Alien: Isolation 2, this newly confirmed project is unlikely to be among them, as it is still without a name.
Fans of Cox can also anticipate the return of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, which is slated for release in early 2027. The series will reportedly conclude Matt Murdock's current narrative arc, following recent reports of showrunner Dario Scardapane's departure during post-production.
