Jackson's Nick Fury. However, the show gradually diverged from the main movie continuity, particularly in its later seasons, exploring standalone narratives and alternate timelines. Notably, the series is absent from Disney+'s official MCU timeline, a contrast to other previously separate Marvel Television shows like Daredevil that have since been integrated into canon.
Bennet shared her feelings in a recent interview, stating, "I'm still low-key angry that they don't fully acknowledge this as canon — the real followers will understand that." She highlighted the show's significant run of over 130 episodes and the personal investment she made in her character's development. The actress also recalled the series' initial connections to the films, including Peggy Carter's appearances, before later seasons opted for more independent storytelling to avoid conflicts with movie plans. The show concluded without directly addressing the Snap or Blip.
Despite the unresolved canon status, Bennet expressed strong enthusiasm for reprising her role. "I'm obsessed with Daisy. I feel like I am Daisy," she said. "I would love to play her with the growth that I’ve had since I've had a break from the role." The possibility of her return has led to speculation about potential appearances in future large-scale MCU events, such as Avengers: Secret Wars.
