Chucky Is Being Delisted from Dead By Daylight This November

Behaviour Interactive has announced that the Chucky character will be delisted from Dead By Daylight on November 24 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. This follows a trend of licensed characters being removed from the game as their respective licensing agreements expire. Players who purchase Chucky and any associated cosmetics before the delisting date will retain access to them permanently.

The Chucky DLC, which introduced the character known in-game as The Good Guy, arrived in Dead by Daylight in November 2023. He comes equipped with three unique perks: Hex: Two Can Play, Friends Til the End, and Batteries Included. Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that these perks will remain in the game even after Chucky's removal. However, for players who have not unlocked the DLC by the delisting date, the perks will undergo name changes. Hex: Two Can Play will become Hex: Eye For An Eye, Friends Til the End will be renamed One Track Mind, and Batteries Included will be known as Gaining Steam. Other content tied to Chucky, such as Prestige rewards and any quests that allow players to utilize him, will remain accessible.

While Behaviour Interactive has not explicitly stated the reason for Chucky's delisting, it is widely assumed to be due to the expiration of licensing rights. This situation is not unprecedented for Dead by Daylight. Last December, Michael Myers and his associated map were removed from the game. Similarly, Pinhead from Hellraiser was delisted earlier in 2025. In both instances, players who had purchased the characters prior to their removal retained access. The Stranger Things characters Steve and Nancy were delisted in 2021 but have since returned to the game, alongside Dustin and Eleven.

Speculation within the Dead by Daylight community suggests that other licensed characters may face similar fates. Freddy Krueger has been frequently mentioned as a potential candidate for delisting, given the complex and divided licensing situation surrounding the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. However, as of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding his status.
