Studio Moka is developing CitaDrill, a roguelite city-builder that merges subterranean exploration with base defense. The game's central premise involves a city encased within a large dome, affixed to a colossal drill that burrows through an infested planet. Players begin with a basic drill and must excavate downwards, collecting resources from various colored blocks to construct and upgrade their city.

Building management is key, with fixtures like pressure valves and power lines offering essential bonuses and enabling modules. The act of drilling itself is a primary mechanic, but it also serves as the stage for a tower defense element. As the drill descends, players must contend with large, hostile creatures that attempt to breach and destroy the city. To counter these threats, players can attach weaponry and defenses to their drill-city, fending off waves of enemies and formidable bosses.

The game features a distinct pixel art style. CitaDrill is slated for release before the end of the year, and a demo is currently available on Steam as part of the ongoing Steam Next Fest.
