Clean the Moon with a Toothbrush in New PowerWash-like Moon Sweepers

Moon Sweepers, the latest entry in the PowerWash Simulator-like genre, has launched on Steam, challenging players to meticulously clean celestial bodies, starting with the Moon. Developed by a two-person team at DragDrop Games, the game offers a unique take on the cleaning simulation genre, where precision and dedication are paramount.

A Gentle Approach to Lunar Cleaning

The core premise involves using a toothbrush to remove dust from the lunar surface, a process that emphasizes a hands-on, artisanal approach to cleaning. While players can eventually upgrade to more powerful cleaning equipment by collecting lunar dirt, the game's narrative encourages a continued appreciation for manual cleaning techniques. This emphasis on detail and craft is a central theme, with the developers cautioning against over-reliance on automated tools, suggesting that such methods could lead to a loss of essential cleaning skills.

Players establish cleaning depots near their designated sites and track their progress via a holographic globe at their base. The game also features a multiplayer mode supporting up to 16 players. While the option to engage in more rapid cleaning methods exists, the game ultimately reinforces the player's role as a lunar janitor. Interestingly, there are no enemies to contend with, only the vast expanses of ancient asteroid powder.

Moon Sweepers is available now on Steam, and the development team is actively working on patches following its launch.
