Company of Heroes 3 Operation Torch DLC Arrives November 25th

Relic Entertainment is set to release Operation Torch, a new DLC for Company of Heroes 3, on November 25th. This downloadable content will introduce new single-player missions centered around the Allied landings in North Africa during World War II.

The DLC will focus on the historical Operation Torch, the 1942 Allied invasion of Vichy French-controlled Algeria and Morocco. Players will command American forces through a campaign featuring a dramatic arc that covers the initial invasion, the defeat at Kasserine Pass, and the final push to capture Hill 609. The campaign will span 15 missions and is expected to feature historical figures such as Eisenhower and Patton.

Players will experience the conflict through the perspectives of three American soldiers, whose journeys will highlight the hardships, losses, and lessons learned during the campaign to liberate Europe. Gameplay will involve urban tank battles and stealth operations, with players earning upgrades through completing objectives. These upgrades will allow for tactical customization, such as focusing on artillery support or adapting to enemy positions.

Company of Heroes 3 was released in 2023, with reviewers noting its return to form for the series and praising its orchestral score. Subsequent updates and spin-offs, like the roguelite strategy expansion Final Stand, have also been released, with some suggesting they have further increased appreciation for the game's strategic depth.
