Control Resonant Patch Buffs Dylan and Eases Enemy Difficulty

Remedy Entertainment has launched Control Resonant with a new patch, hotfix 1.3.3, aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience by adjusting enemy health and Dylan's overall strength. The developer stated that these adjustments are intended to improve the feel and flow of the game while maintaining a challenge, noting that enemies could feel overly resilient during the early hours of play.

Following the update, players will find that enemies have reduced base health and require less Falter to be set up for finishers. Concurrently, Dylan's Aberrant strength and maximum Ability strength have been increased. To further encourage player experimentation and build diversity, Remedy is also permanently reducing the cost of respeccing abilities and increasing the stock of Reset Items available from vendors. The initial boss encounter, The Artist, will now drop two Reset Items instead of one.

These changes are designed to make the game more accessible on its default difficulty. For players seeking an even more streamlined experience, Control Resonant's Assist Mode allows for customization of various gameplay options, including making Dylan immortal and capable of one-hit kills, which should appeal to those who wish to focus on the narrative and world of the game. Additionally, Remedy will update some English UI text to provide clearer explanations for Build Power and Aberrant Strength, with plans to bring these multilingual updates to other languages later.

GameSpot's review of Control Resonant highlighted its gameplay loop as reminiscent of Remedy's earlier work like Max Payne, alongside its "stellar art direction and a surprisingly touching story."
