Control: Resonant has received a substantial update, version 1.4.0, which brings the long-awaited New Game++ mode to players. Alongside this, the patch addresses numerous smaller bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, according to a declassification by developer Remedy.
The update includes a 'Mute copyrighted music toggle' for the opening credits and resolves an issue that caused fast-travel doors to revert Jesse Faden's custom outfit to its default post-game appearance. Other fixes include tuning the forklift enemy to be more easily hit.
The patch also promises performance optimizations for lower-end hardware and introduces interface changes aimed at clarifying the game's upgrade systems. The overall build power rating is now displayed on the main Loadout screen, and players can tag priority upgrade materials to make them appear when highlighting vendor markers on the map.
This update follows a release-day patch that buffed Dylan's combat abilities. That earlier hotfix adjusted melee attacks and Hiss-crushing capabilities in response to player feedback regarding enemy difficulty. With these ongoing adjustments, Remedy appears focused on refining Control: Resonant's aggressive combat loop while making its progression systems more accessible.
