Remedy Entertainment's latest title, Control Resonant, has achieved a significant sales milestone, selling over 1 million copies in under three weeks. The studio announced the achievement on social media, thanking players for their support. Released on September 24, Control Resonant has garnered positive reviews and marks a new sales record for Remedy, surpassing its previous fastest-selling game.
To put this into perspective, Remedy's 2023 title Alan Wake 2 took approximately two months to reach the 1 million copy sales mark. Control Resonant accomplished this feat in less than half that time. Alan Wake 2 eventually became profitable more than a year after its launch, and a quicker path to profitability for Control Resonant could contribute to Remedy's stable growth.
Remedy Entertainment is also collaborating with Rockstar Games on remakes of the first two Max Payne games. A previous multiplayer project from Remedy, codenamed Kestrel, was canceled in 2024.
Given the studio's history of post-launch support for games like Control, it is possible that Control Resonant could receive downloadable content in the future. The game already contains an Easter egg that hints at a potential Alan Wake 3.
