Core Keeper's 'Riders of the Underground' Update Arrives Tomorrow With Rideable Mounts

The "Riders of the Underground" update for the sandbox adventure game Core Keeper is set to launch tomorrow, September 21, 2026. This significant content drop introduces rideable mounts, a new sub-biome, and formidable new enemies.

Players will soon be able to saddle up various types of cattle found within the game. A new item, the saddle, allows players to tame and then ride these creatures. Once tamed, mounts can be customized with names and assigned behaviors, such as staying put, following the player, or roaming freely.

The update also adds the Moss sub-biome, a new area characterized by lush greenery and a lack of natural predators. Within this serene environment, players can encounter the Orex, a dinosaur-like mount described as a gentle creature despite its appearance.

Accompanying these additions are new threats. The trailer reveals a trio of large, snake-like monsters that emerge from the sand. Additionally, a mysterious door is hinted at, opening into a dark cavern, suggesting new secrets and challenges for players to uncover.

Core Keeper, which has maintained a strong player base since its early access release, is available on Steam. Players can download the "Riders of the Underground" update tomorrow.
