Crimson Desert DLC Delayed by Two Weeks

Crimson Desert's upcoming DLC, Charting the Unknown, has been delayed by two weeks, with a new release date set for October 29. Developer Pearl Abyss announced the shift, moving the expansion from its original October 15 launch.

This pause follows a period of frequent updates for the singleplayer RPG. Since its release, Crimson Desert has seen additions including new critters, chests, a shotgun, additional difficulty options, new mounts, and boss rematches. This pace of development led Pearl Abyss to announce in August that free updates would slow to allow focus on DLC creation.

The Charting the Unknown DLC was previewed in a trailer that highlighted several new features. Among these were building construction options, reminiscent of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC, as well as mechanics such as running on water and interacting with sharks. The exact release times are as follows:

Europe October 29th, 2026 (Thu) at 22:00 (UTC) October 29th, 2026 (Thu) at 23:00 (CET)

North America October 29th, 2026 (Thu) at 15:00 (PT) October 29th, 2026 (Thu) at 18:00 (ET)

Asia October 30th, 2026 (Fri) at 7:00 (KST/JST)

The two-week delay is a minor adjustment in an industry often characterized by extended development cycles. The focus on providing additional content and features for Crimson Desert, including the upcoming DLC, suggests a continued commitment from Pearl Abyss to the game's ongoing development.
