Crimson Desert's Charting the Unknown DLC Delayed by Two Weeks

Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has announced a two-week delay for its first post-launch add-on, Charting the Unknown. The DLC, originally scheduled for release on October 15, will now launch on October 29.

In a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, the developer cited the need for additional development time to "deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience." Pearl Abyss acknowledged the anticipation for the new content and apologized for the extended wait, stating they would use the extra time to refine the content and aim for the best possible player experience.

Charting the Unknown introduces new exploration opportunities to the continent of Pywel, including ocean travel via ships and underwater adventures. Players will journey to new islands off the coast of Pywel, where new narrative threads will unfold featuring protagonists Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane. The add-on also features expanded mechanics for house building, facility management for in-game revenue generation, and a system designed to deepen bonds with non-player characters.

The DLC is priced at £19.99 / $24.99 and will be available for all versions of Crimson Desert except for the Mac App Store release.
