Crimson Desert's Version 1.13.00 update is now available across all platforms, bringing a host of new content and refinements. This patch significantly expands equipment options, particularly for Oongka and Damiane, while also introducing new cosmetic choices and addressing a wide range of bugs and stability issues.
Expanded Equipment and Customization
The update introduces dozens of new equipment pieces for Kliff and Oongka, obtainable through quests, achievements, shops, and other in-game sources. Kliff and Oongka gain 39 new items, including various boss outfits and armor pieces. Damiane receives eight new armor pieces. Furthermore, Oongka can now equip most outfits previously exclusive to Kliff, and Damiane gains access to specific boss equipment sets like the Guardian of Odeck and Dark Marksman outfits. Both characters can also now equip Kuku equipment, such as specialized armor and boots.
Cosmetic customization has also been enhanced. Several disguise outfits that were previously undyeable can now be customized. Additionally, most weapons and secondary weapons have been updated to support dyeing. The update also adds crafting recipes for four types of carpets and three types of plate armor.
Gameplay and Quality-of-Life Improvements
Patch 1.13.00 allows Oongka and Damiane to enter the Abyss, with adjustments made to Memory Fragment locations for certain rematchable bosses. A notable addition for players is the ability for summoned pets to "rest together with the character" in bed. A new "Hide Minimap and Status" option has been added to the gameplay settings, allowing players to toggle the HUD UI.
Quality-of-life changes include an improvement to gathering, allowing up to three fireflies to be obtained from a firefly colony. Puzzles for Oongka have been updated to be completable with Scatter Shot. The Gate to Advancement's teleporting device is now usable without a Visione equipped. Several fixes address issues with auto-tracked targets, rowboat behavior, disappearing wagons, and NPC interactions during quests.
Combat and action mechanics have also seen adjustments. Muskets and pistols can now be fired while sliding, and jump attacks from high places have been improved to reduce character freezing. Several fixes address issues related to sliding attacks, skill usage with tools equipped, and target designation while flying.
UI and Graphics Enhancements
The user interface has received several improvements. The inventory now closes automatically when using an elixir. The character switch UI has been updated for situations requiring Kliff. The Dye UI has been modified to prevent selection of undyeable items. Only the currently tracked quest is now displayed on the minimap border.
On the graphics front, fixes have been implemented for occasional stuttering in certain cutscenes on PS5, longer than usual game loading times, and crashes that could occur when opening the map or during boss rematches. A failure message will now be displayed if engine options fail to apply.
Localization and Miscellaneous Fixes
The update includes fixes for various localization errors across all languages, improving overall quality. Miscellaneous fixes address issues with pinball launchers, housing mode installations, knowledge descriptions, quest completion tracking, monster spawns, equipment clipping, and camera behavior with certain monsters or while riding. Controls for both keyboard/mouse and controller have also been refined, with specific fixes for input display, quest descriptions, and awkward animations when using shops or certain mounts.
