Critical Role has announced "Shattered Legends," a new miniseries featuring members of Hololive Production. The series will utilize the ruleset for Daggerheart, the tabletop role-playing game from Critical Role's Darrington Press. Matt Mercer will serve as Game Master, joined by Critical Role founder Marisha Ray and Hololive's Nerissa Ravencroft, Mori Calliope, Shiori Novella, and Gigi Murin.

"Shattered Legends" will premiere on November 13 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. Episodes will be available on Nerissa Ravencroft's YouTube channel and Critical Role's streaming platform, Beacon. The six-episode series is set in the Shattered Teeth archipelago, an area southeast of Tal'dorei, the continent that served as the setting for Critical Role's first campaign, "Vox Machina."

The adventure will focus on the island of Ubradar and a location known as the Undermaw, described as a "massive sinkhole with an unknown darkness sealed below." This setting draws parallels to the anime "Made in Abyss," with time flowing differently in the Shattered Teeth islands than in the outside world.

The cast and their characters have also been revealed: Marisha Ray plays Florence, a tidekin witch; Nerissa Ravencroft plays Siliul 'Sil' Faeli, an elf rogue; Mori Calliope plays Kaz Oogod, an infernis bard; Shiori Novella plays Marchen 'March' Rosemyne, a fungrin druid; and Gigi Murin plays Giryn, a faerie seraph. The Hololive cast members will use new virtual avatars designed for their characters, while Mercer and Ray will appear in person.

Following the miniseries, "Shattered Legends" will embark on a promotional tour, with a panel scheduled for Anime Frontier in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 5. The series aims to blend Critical Role's established storytelling with the unique performances of the Hololive VTubers.
