CD Projekt Red has announced that the Edgerunners 2 Update for Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on October 22. This free update brings a host of new content and gameplay enhancements inspired by the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime.
A central feature of the Edgerunners 2 Update is a new quest that takes place before the events of the anime series, offering players a new narrative experience. The update also introduces Dual Wielding, a new combat playstyle that allows players to wield two weapons simultaneously, supported by dedicated perks to enhance this aggressive approach.
Players will also gain the ability to customize their cyberware at "glamdocs," a new feature that likely offers cosmetic or functional alterations to their enhancements. Furthering community integration, the update includes Cross Platform Mod Support, enabling players to discover and utilize mods created by others across different platforms.
Additionally, the update introduces Night City Tours, a new way to explore the game's detailed urban environment. The Edgerunners 2 Update will be available on October 22 for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Mac version for the Mac App Store is also planned, with availability on Nintendo Switch 2 coming at a later date.
