In an unexpected move, CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 and its upcoming expansion are slated for release on Blizzard's Battle.net platform later this year. This follows a similar announcement that The Witcher 3's remastered edition will also be available on Battle.net, in addition to its expected platforms.
Battle.net, primarily known for Blizzard's own titles, has been expanding its third-party offerings. Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion will join other non-Blizzard games previously added to the platform, such as Sea of Thieves and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4.
Meanwhile, Geralt of Rivia will make an appearance in Diablo 4. Players who prepurchase The Witcher 3's Songs of the Past DLC on Battle.net will receive a skin for the barbarian class, inspired by the iconic monster slayer. Further Witcher-themed content is anticipated for Diablo 4 in 2027. Additionally, Overwatch will receive Edgerunners-themed cosmetics next year, coinciding with the second season of the Netflix show premiering on October 20.
Currently, Diablo 2 Resurrected, Diablo 4, and Overwatch are the only Blizzard titles available on Steam. The original Diablo remains on GOG, though the first two Warcraft games were delisted from that storefront following their remasters.
