A new season of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime is set to premiere on Netflix, and CD Projekt Red has announced a corresponding update for the Cyberpunk 2077 video game. Patch 2.5 details will be revealed on October 21, with the update itself launching on October 22.
While this is not expected to be the final patch for the game, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that update 2.5 will include new cyberware customization options and introduce a dual-wielding playstyle. The latter is a notable addition, as previously, even weapons explicitly described as dual pistols, such as those used by Jackie Welles, could only be wielded one at a time in-game.
The details of the patch were revealed in an announcement post, with further information expected during a stream on October 21. The developer also indicated that The Witcher 3, which received a remaster 11 years after its initial release, suggests that long-term support for their games is a possibility.
