Following a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, the first set of the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, "Welcome to Night City," is now rolling out to stores and backers. The game's developer, WeirdCo, has announced that the second set, titled "Edgerunners: Burn Bright," is scheduled for a Spring 2027 release and will incorporate elements from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime.
While specific details regarding the set's products and card count remain under wraps, WeirdCo plans to reveal more information and card details in the coming months. Exclusive artwork reveals for the "Burn Bright" set feature Maine, the former leader of the Edgerunners crew, and Falco, the crew's getaway driver. Maine's card art, titled "Badass Shades," is expected to be a Gear card, a type that typically provides a boost when equipped to a Unit or Legend. Falco's card art, "Falco Hang on Tight!," depicts the character with his signature mustache, and is also anticipated to be a Legend card.
The "Burn Bright" set will introduce an "all-new chase rarity" tier, further enhancing the Cyberpunk TCG's appeal to collectors. The artwork for these new cards adopts a more anime-inspired style, distinct from the existing set. The full retail launch of the initial set, "Welcome to Night City," is slated for November 6, 2026, with prerelease events scheduled for the preceding weekend.
