WeirdCo has announced the first expansion for its hit Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, titled 'Edgerunners: Burn Bright.' The expansion is slated for a Spring 2027 release and will integrate characters, locations, and narrative moments from the Netflix anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners into the game.
This new set will also introduce new mechanics, details of which will be shared closer to the launch. A new chase rarity is also planned, though specific information has not yet been disclosed by WeirdCo. The expansion is set to be available in both local game stores and major retail chains.
Exclusive artwork has been revealed for one of the characters featured in the 'Edgerunners: Burn Bright' set: Zhou, Maine's Answer. Zhou, also known as the L-69 Zhuo, is a two-handed shotgun that was wielded by Maine, the leader of the crew that David Martinez joins in the anime. While the card's specific abilities remain unknown, it is anticipated to be a potent Gear card designed to augment the player or character it is equipped to. Further details on Zhou's in-game effects will be provided as the release date approaches.
