Invoke Studios' upcoming Dungeons & Dragons title, Warlock, is not intended to be an exceptionally long game, studio head Dominic Guay stated in a recent interview. Contrary to the sprawling, 100-plus hour experiences common in the open-world RPG genre, Warlock is designed for a more concentrated playtime with a "denser open world."

Guay explained that the development team wants players to be rewarded more quickly when exploring, avoiding the need for excessively long travel times between points of interest that can plague other large-scale games. While the exact playtime remains flexible depending on player choices, Guay indicated it will be "tens and tens of hours," offering a substantial but not overwhelming duration. This approach aims to strike a balance between engaging with the main story and delving into optional content for character progression.
