LEGO has officially announced a new Daft Punk set, inspired by the duo's 2007 Alive tour stage. The announcement follows a teaser during a YouTube stream and a confirmation on the LEGO Ideas blog. The upcoming set originated as a fan-submitted project by creator RobotRock through the LEGO Ideas program, where fans propose designs for potential official LEGO products.
This particular fan submission spent several years in the "Parking Lot," a section of the LEGO Ideas platform reserved for ideas that require additional review time before a final decision is made. The LEGO Ideas program allows fans to design and submit their own sets, with successful submissions being developed further by official LEGO designers.
While specific release date and pricing details for the Daft Punk set have not yet been revealed, further information is anticipated soon. LEGO also indicated a broader partnership with Daft Punk, hinting at potential future collaborations beyond this initial set. A dedicated announcement video has been released to mark the musicians' entry into the LEGO universe.
