Dead by Daylight's Chucky Chapter to Be Removed in November

Developer Behaviour Interactive has announced that the Chucky Chapter for its popular horror game, Dead by Daylight, will be removed from sale on November 24, 2026. This follows a pattern of licensed content being pulled from the game due to expiring contracts.

Dead by Daylight has a history of incorporating beloved horror icons through collaborations, but these partnerships are often temporary. In the past, characters like Pinhead from Hellraiser and Michael Myers from Halloween have been removed from the game. The license for the Halloween franchise, for instance, expired and was not renewed, leading to the removal of Michael Myers in early 2026.

Last Chance for Chucky Content

The Chucky Chapter content will be unavailable for purchase after 11 a.m. ET on November 24. Players who already own the Chucky DLC will retain access to the character, including his perks and add-ons, and will still be able to level him up. However, they will not be able to unlock any new cosmetic outfits for the character.

To allow players a final opportunity to acquire the Chucky content, Behaviour Interactive is hosting a "Last Chance" sale. The Chucky Chapter DLC will be available at half price, costing $2.49. This sale will run on the Epic Games Store, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch from October 26 until November 24. The sale will commence on PlayStation on November 2 and on Steam on November 10.

The removal of Chucky follows speculation fueled by leaker reports and social media indicators. Behaviour Interactive confirmed these rumors on October 23, alerting players to the impending removal.
