Dead by Daylight Studio Behaviour Interactive Working on New AAA Sci-Fi FPS

Behaviour Interactive, the studio primarily known for the popular asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight, appears to be developing a new triple-A science fiction first-person shooter. A job posting on Behaviour's website for a Senior Technical Animator reveals the studio is working on an unannounced Sci-Fi FPS that will utilize Unreal Engine and is characterized as having "a high realism bar."

While Dead by Daylight has been Behaviour's flagship title for the past decade, enjoying recent success with a new Steam concurrent player record on its 10th anniversary, the studio has also produced games for other publishers. These include titles like Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains and the mobile game Worms Across Worlds.

In 2023, Behaviour self-published Meet Your Maker, a post-apocalyptic building and raiding game. Despite initial promise, the game was ultimately not successful enough for long-term support, and Behaviour announced in early 2024 that it was shifting into maintenance mode as the development team moved to other projects.

The studio also has Exterminauts, a co-op PvE third-person shooter featuring players battling alien creatures, announced but without a release date. The new Sci-Fi FPS project, however, marks a significant departure into a different genre and style for Behaviour's internal development.
