Dead by Daylight to Remove Chucky Content Next Month

Behaviour Interactive has announced that all Chucky-related content will be removed from Dead by Daylight's in-game and first-party stores on November 24, 2026. This includes the Killer, known in-game as The Good Guy, and any associated outfits or cosmetics.

Players who have already purchased Chucky Chapter content will retain access to it even after its removal from sale. The developer confirmed that bug fixes for The Good Guy will continue to be supported, but no future add-ons for the character will be released.

To coincide with the removal, Behaviour Interactive is holding a "Last Chance" sale, slashing prices for all Chucky Chapter items by 50% across all platforms. This sale begins on October 26 and runs until the November 24 removal date.

This marks the latest in a series of licensed characters being pulled from Dead by Daylight. The Hellraiser Chapter featuring Pinhead was removed from digital storefronts in 2025, and Michael Myers, the game's first major licensed Killer, was removed earlier this year. The cause for these removals is typically attributed to licensing issues, though Behaviour Interactive has not explicitly detailed the reasons for Chucky's departure.

Fans have expressed disappointment, with many noting the rapid succession of licensed characters becoming unavailable. Despite these removals, Behaviour Interactive has continued to add new licensed content, including characters from Five Nights at Freddy's, Tokyo Ghoul, Stranger Things, and Terrifier's Art the Clown, who is set to be added next month. The long-term availability of other licensed content in Dead by Daylight remains uncertain.
