Deadlock players are experiencing a significant overhaul with the "City Never Sleeps" update, which brings a host of new content and visual enhancements to the game. Valve has introduced six new characters, available for unlock via community vote, alongside substantial user interface revisions and an abundance of new voice lines.
The centerpiece of the update is a comprehensive visual redesign of the game's map. While the bases of the Hidden King and Arch Mother remain visually similar, the surrounding areas have been transformed. The update features three reworked lanes and four entirely new districts.
New Map Locations
The York lane retains its industrial aesthetic but now boasts larger open spaces while maintaining its characteristic grittiness. Notably, it includes a New York Stock Exchange structure near the Arch Mother's base.
Broadway, the central lane, has undergone a significant transformation. It now serves as the map's busiest hub, complete with a highway, neon signage, and towering skyscrapers. The area also features steam vents that offer temporary concealment and healing.
Greenwich, described as the most visually appealing lane, presents an earthy, witchy atmosphere. A large tree dominates the center lane, providing players with elevated vantage points.
Beyond the lanes, the update introduces four new districts: the Theatre, Chinatown, the Haunted Lot, and the Plaza, each with distinct visual themes and updated environmental elements.
