Deborah Ann Woll, who portrays Faye in the forthcoming PlayStation 5 game God of War: Laufey, has shared an amusing story from her initial day on set. During a recent appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, Woll recounted how she inadvertently, she broke a prop that had previously been used in The Last of Us.

"Unbeknownst to me, this was a very famous prop that they had used on The Last of Us," Woll explained, humorously describing it as "some sort of sporting equipment." The prop in question was a golf club, which Woll was instructed to use as an axe. "They gave it to me and I was supposed to use it like an axe. And I broke it," she said. Game director Ariel Lawrence added that Woll "swung it so hard, it cracked. And it echoed throughout the volume. And we were like, 'Hot damn, let's go.'"

God of War: Laufey is slated for release in February 2027. The game will feature Jack Quaid, known for his role in The Boys, as a character named Phranque. Following Laufey, a new Kratos-centric installment is planned, which will continue the narrative from where Laufey concludes.
