Delta Force is commemorating its second anniversary with the launch of its "Season Reorientation," a major update that incorporates two years of player feedback and introduces a wealth of new content and improvements. Developed by Team Jade, the celebration begins September 26th and features daily tasks offering up to 3900 limited-time Delta Tickets and new collectibles, including the legendary "Golden State" appearance for the AUG.
Future content plans include anniversary rewards, new gameplay experiences, and significant quality-of-life enhancements aimed at reducing friction and allowing players more time to engage with the game. The roadmap reflects Team Jade's commitment to evolving the experience based on community input.
New Maps and Engine Upgrades
Early 2027 will see the introduction of "Siege: Valkyrie," a new Operations map built with Unreal Engine 5 technology. This map places players in a besieged city divided by a massive wall, featuring two distinct zones: an opulent inner city and a resource-scarce outer city. Each area presents unique rules, risks, and rewards, offering players strategic choices for extraction or deeper exploration. For the first time, Siege: Valkyrie will allow players from different difficulty tiers to compete in the same match, promising a high-stakes, unpredictable experience.
Unreal Engine 5 features are also coming to the Warfare mode, with "The Mog" map, which launched with Season Reorientation, being the first to support these enhancements. Additional Warfare maps are scheduled for November 2027, with more planned throughout the year.
New Game Modes and Lore
A new bomb-defusal mode, "Detonation," will enter beta on September 27th for PC and mobile players, with console access to follow later in the year. Detonation tasks attackers with breaching defenses to plant a bomb while defenders aim to prevent its detonation or defuse it if planted.
For players interested in the game's narrative, the first volume of "Operator Archives," a story series exploring the backgrounds of Delta Force Operators, is now available through official channels. Operator Quarters, a dedicated social and customization space, is planned for early 2027.
Quality-of-Life and Gameplay Enhancements
Season Reorientation brings several quality-of-life improvements, including the option for one-click loadouts and the "Combat Support Fund," an in-game loan system to expedite the acquisition of essential items. New players will benefit from a revamped G.T.I. Field Manual for accessible in-game information and a redesigned tutorial, making the initial experience more straightforward and enjoyable.
Experienced players in Operations mode can explore "Layali Grove 2.0," a map with expanded river areas that introduces new exploration activities, including a fishing system with its own progression and map-specific catches displayed in a Collection Room aquarium. The "Polaris Patrol" in Operations mode also returns with a reworked "play-as-a-boss" feature, allowing players to assume the role of Security Director Desmoulins.
In Warfare mode, "The Mog" map, inspired by the film "Black Hawk Down," features a convoy escort experience. Players will defend a convoy carrying a defecting engineer against hostile forces, with the possibility of Black Hawk helicopters joining the battle, allowing players to operate their weapons or perform repair duties.
Competitive Scene and Availability
Delta Force's competitive scene continues to grow, with the RISE Series Season 2 underway and the first major offline event outside of Asia, the Delta Force Invitational, scheduled for DreamHack Stockholm from November 27-29. The game is free to play and available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Android, iOS, Google Play, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
