Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 will receive a significant content update, including the return of the fan-favorite Amazon class, a new season celebrating the franchise's history, and a port to the Nintendo Switch 2. These announcements were made during BlizzCon 2026, signaling continued support for the action RPG.

The Amazon class, last seen in Diablo 2, will be introduced in a new class pack during the first half of 2027. Known for its speed and precision, the Amazon wields a bow and will bring the javelin weapon type to Diablo 4 for the first time. Currently, Diablo 4 features eight playable classes; it launched in 2023 with five classes and has since added three more through expansions.

The new season, titled Season of Hell's Legacy, is set to begin on September 15. This season is designed as a tribute to the Diablo franchise's 30th anniversary, incorporating enemies, locations, and items from previous installments. The season will also feature a crossover with The Witcher franchise.

To coincide with the new season and the Amazon's arrival, Diablo 4: The Age of Hatred Collection is being released for the Nintendo Switch 2. This collection will bundle Diablo 4 with its two expansions, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred. The port was previously hinted at through ratings board leaks and industry reports. The Age of Hatred Collection will be playable at BlizzCon and will be available to the public on September 15. Diablo 4 and its expansions are already available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
