The next playable class for Diablo 4, the Amazon, was revealed by Blizzard during the BlizzCon opening ceremony. This addition will arrive as a separate DLC class pack in the first half of 2027, rather than being included as part of a larger expansion.
The inclusion of the Amazon was anticipated, given its iconic status in Diablo 2 and the recent expansion, Lord of Hatred, which prominently featured the Amazons' home region, Skovos. While the expansion introduced the Paladin and Warlock classes, the Amazon was notably absent as a playable option.
Beyond the new class, Diablo 4's next season, Hell's Legacy, is set to launch on September 15. This season will commemorate the franchise's 30th anniversary, bringing back familiar enemies, locations, and items from previous Diablo titles. The season will also feature the return of Deckard Cain, who will guide players in confronting Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto, marking the first appearance of the Lord of Terror himself in Diablo 4.
Additionally, Diablo 4 is officially confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2. This version will include a Lord of Hatred collection, encompassing both of the game's existing expansions.
