Diablo 4's upcoming Season 15 is set to significantly shake up the game by reintroducing a host of iconic and powerful items from the franchise's history, including fan-demanded rings like the Stone of Jordan and Ring of Royal Grandeur. These Legacy Uniques will be permanent additions to the game, offering veteran players a wave of nostalgia and new strategic options.

The public test realm for Season 15 will be available from August 4 to August 11, giving players an early look at the new content. Blizzard announced that a total of 10 items, drawn from Diablo, Diablo 2, and Diablo 3, will be added as Uniques. Five of these will be universally usable across all classes, while the remaining five will be class-specific or available to a select group of classes.

Among the returning items are Leoric's Crown (Helm), Nemesis Bracers (Gloves), Ring of Royal Grandeur (Ring), Stone of Jordan (Ring), and Squirt's Blouse, which integrates the effect of Diablo 3's Squirt's Necklace into a chest armor slot. Multi-class items include Arioc's Needle (Polearm), Henri's Perquisition (Offhand Focus), In-Geom (Sword), The Furnace (Mace), and Messerschmidt's Reaver (Axe).

Early previews of some Legacy Uniques reveal their potential Diablo 4 affixes. Leoric's Crown, for instance, will function as a jewelry piece and amplify the effects of socketed gems by 75-100%. Henri's Perquisition is slated to increase a Primary Stat based on Dexterity, while Nemesis Bracers will summon an Elite enemy pack when a player interacts with a Shrine.

Beyond item additions, Season 15 will introduce new "Overland" activities, such as challenge dungeons discoverable in the open world and demonic ambushes. A new "Rebirth" feature will also allow players to continue using their established characters across multiple seasons. Furthermore, a new power system called Soul Splinters will offer players more choices for gear sockets, though each splinter comes with a corresponding drawback. Examples include a splinter that boosts maximum health at the cost of primary resource, one that increases damage but negates critical strike chance, and another that enhances damage reduction while reducing movement speed.

Blizzard also confirmed that improvements to the Mythic item system are planned, making crafting more deterministic and less reliant on random drops. Details about the full scope of Season 15 content will be revealed closer to BlizzCon on September 12-13.
