Dropout has announced that the next season of its popular actual play series, Dimension 20, will be A Starstruck Odyssey season 2. The new season is slated to begin in 2027 and will once again feature the core cast known as the Intrepid Heroes: Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson.
A Starstruck Odyssey originally aired in 2022 and marked the first campaign set within a pre-established universe. The Starstruck universe originates from a 1980 play and comic book series, both written by Elaine Lee, mother of Dimension 20 Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan. Specific plot details for the upcoming season have not yet been revealed.
The first season of A Starstruck Odyssey ran for 18 episodes. Episodes of the new season will be uploaded weekly to the official Dimension 20 YouTube channel, with the first installments available starting today.
This announcement follows a busy year for Dropout, which has expanded its content offerings to include original and licensed animation, released a Game Changer at-home game via Kickstarter, added new programming like Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, and made its flagship series Game Changer available on disc. The platform also announced its first live-action scripted series in several years and experimented with various hosts for Make Some Noise. Other recent Dimension 20 campaigns include Gladlands, City Council of Darkness, and the recently concluded Toylight.
