Gameloft has unveiled the upcoming content roadmap for Disney Dreamlight Valley, detailing two free updates slated for September and December, alongside a substantial paid expansion pack. These additions will introduce beloved characters and themes from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Lilo & Stitch."
Fans can anticipate the arrival of Oogie Boogie from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" in September. He will join the Valley following the completion of the game's annual Halloween event. Later, in December, Lilo Pelekai will make her debut, reuniting with her iconic alien companion, Stitch, in a holiday-themed update. As is customary, players will likely need to complete character-specific quests to help these new residents settle into their new lives.
The previously teased paid downloadable content (DLC) has been confirmed to be an underwater adventure titled "The Keepsake Sea." This expansion will feature the swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow and is scheduled for release in October, positioning it between the two free updates. An exact release date for the DLC has not yet been specified.
In addition to character and story content, the game will also see thematic cosmetic additions. Starting August 19, players will be able to acquire outfits inspired by Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire through the Premium Shop. This follows earlier announcements during D23, a convention focused on Disney's diverse franchises.
As a token of appreciation for players engaging with the recent announcements, a free cosmetic item, the D23 Varsity Jacket 2026, is now available. To claim it, players must navigate to the Help section within the game's Settings menu and enter the code "DDVD23PANELGIFT." The jacket will then be delivered to their in-game mailbox. A full recording of the Disney Dreamlight Valley panel from D23 can be found on the game's official YouTube channel.
