Disney+ is set to bolster its library in July 2026 with a diverse array of new content, highlighted by the highly anticipated return of "X-Men '97" for its second season. The month's schedule also includes a significant influx of SharkFest documentaries, a special 4th of July broadcast, and live streaming from the Lollapalooza music festival.
Premieres and Returning Series
The month kicks off on July 1 with the premiere of "X-Men '97" Season 2, offering a three-episode launch. The acclaimed animated series, lauded as one of the best X-Men adaptations, will then transition to a weekly episode release for the remainder of its nine-episode season. Also arriving on July 1 is the new Hulu original mini-series "Abandoned," which follows three siblings searching for their parents. The Japanese series "King & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA" will continue with new episodes weekly.
"The Simpsons" will receive an exclusive episode, "Simpsley," on July 3. This coincides with Disney+'s "Disney Celebrates America" special, a 24-hour broadcast featuring fireworks, park festivities, and musical performances.
SharkFest and Documentaries
Shark enthusiasts can look forward to July 5 with the premiere of multiple National Geographic SharkFest series. Titles include "Hammerhead Sharks Up Close with Bertie Gregory," "World's Biggest Mako," "Attack of the Samurai Sharks," "Shark vs. Giant Croc," "Shark Island Showdown," "Sharks: Reef Rivals," and "Great White Gauntlet."
Later in the month, "Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston" will debut. This Nat Geo series, comprising three episodes, features the "Loki" actor exploring the ruins of Pompeii. A new 24/7 Disney Princess stream will also launch on July 23, featuring a marathon of princess films.
Entertainment and Reality Programming
"Project Runway" Season 22 begins on July 10 with a two-episode premiere, followed by weekly installments. Tyra Banks is slated to return as a guest judge this season.
Reality television fans can mark July 14 for the premiere of "Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro." This spin-off will feature 12 aspiring professional dancers competing for a spot on the main show's next season, with new episodes streaming concurrently with their ABC broadcast.
New entries for younger audiences include "Bluey Compilations" on July 8 and "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland" on July 17, a sequel to "The Rise of Red." Additionally, several seasons of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (Seasons 19-21) will be added.

Subscription Information
Standalone Disney+ plans currently start at $11.99 per month. While bundle deals were previously offered, no new discounts have been announced for July, making existing streaming bundles the most economical option for subscribers.
Other notable additions include "Doctor on the Edge" (K-drama), "Rabbit Hole" (teen variety show), "Marvel's Spidey and his Amazing Friends" Season 5, and various shorts and compilation series across Disney Jr. and "How Not to Draw."
