Disney is set to provide an exclusive look at its upcoming video game projects during the D23 expo, scheduled to take place from August 14-16, 2026. The event will feature an "exclusive preview" on its opening day as part of the Disney Entertainment Showcase, which will also cover announcements for films, television, and live stage productions.

Two games are confirmed to receive dedicated panels: the long-running Kingdom Hearts series will celebrate its 25th anniversary, and the developers behind the life-simulation game Disney Dreamlight Valley will discuss its ongoing success and offer a sneak peek at future content. The timing of the Kingdom Hearts panel is particularly noteworthy, following the recent surprise appearance of Kingdom Hearts 4 during a Nintendo Direct presentation, suggesting that further details about the Square Enix title, which has been in development for years, may be revealed.

While specific details on other game presentations remain undisclosed, the Star Wars franchise is expected to feature prominently. Star Wars: Zero Company, a tactical RPG, is slated for release on August 27, followed by the high-speed Star Wars: Galactic Racer on October 6. Other Star Wars titles in various stages of development include Star Wars Jedi 3 from Respawn Entertainment, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, Saber Interactive's Knights of the Old Republic remake, and Star Wars Eclipse from Quantic Dream, though the latter's development appears increasingly uncertain.

On the Marvel side, Insomniac's Wolverine game is scheduled for a September release. However, given the family-friendly nature of D23, it is unlikely that extensive gameplay or mature content from the title will be showcased. The Wolverine game, along with Arc System Works' new fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, is expected to be presented later this month at San Diego Comic-Con.
