A new installment in the Dokapon Kingdom series, titled Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2, has been announced and is slated for a Summer 2027 release. The game will be available simultaneously worldwide for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam.
The announcement trailer revealed several new features, including updated graphics, expanded character customization options, and new cooperative battles against formidable Giga Monsters. Players can wishlist the game on Steam now.
Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 retains the series' signature board game-style RPG mechanics, where the outcome of a spinner roll can lead to victory or perilous situations, even among close friends. The objective of the game is to gather seven hidden treasures scattered throughout the Kingdom of Dokapon to restore peace and prosperity.
The game promises to continue the series' tradition of "friendship-destroying fun" with solo play, up to four-player local co-op, and two to four-player online multiplayer.
Players can choose from classic job classes such as Warrior, Magician, and Thief, or unlock new, more powerful jobs by meeting specific in-game conditions. These new classes can potentially shift the tide of battle or grant divine power.
Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 also introduces epic cooperative battles where players must join forces to defeat powerful enemies and earn substantial rewards. However, the game will test friendships as players decide whether to share spoils or attempt to claim them all for themselves.
