Domino's is introducing a new pizza called "The Domino," marking a significant product launch 65 years after the company's founding. This new offering is described as the "next generation" in pizza and is shaped precisely like the brand's globally recognized logo. The Domino pizza will become available in stores across the United States on August 31.

The pizza is a Detroit-style creation designed for a single serving. It features handmade, premium pan dough with a buttery flavor, crusted with Parmesan cheese. Baked in a rectangular pan, it achieves a crispy Parmesan crust. The topping includes two layers of cheese, a customer's choice of sauce, and up to three toppings, all finished with a drizzle of Domino's signature garlic seasoning.

According to Joe Jordan, chief operating officer and president of Domino's U.S., The Domino is intended to fill a specific market niche. "When everyone wants something different, traditional pizza falls short," Jordan stated. "The Domino lets every person build the exact pizza they want." He further remarked that the pizza's logo-like shape is fitting for the "No. 1 pizza company in the world" and that its taste is so exceptional that the company chose to name it after itself.

Domino's reports that independent consumer testing found The Domino to be "one of the most delicious products Domino's has ever introduced." The company highlighted its customizability, portability, and convenience, suggesting it as an ideal option for a quick lunch or a late-night snack. It is also positioned as a solution for family meals where individual preferences vary.

The Domino is being offered as part of the Mix and Match Deal, which allows customers to select any two or more menu items for $6.99 each, including a two-topping Domino pizza.
