Amazon Luna is providing Prime members with a selection of new games throughout September, headlined by id Software's acclaimed first-person shooter, Doom Eternal. Other notable additions include the humor-infused alien shooter High on Life and the open-world Star Wars adventure Star Wars Outlaws. Players can also immerse themselves in the alien ecosystem of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

New Additions to Amazon Luna's Library

The service is rolling out its free titles in weekly waves. The current lineup includes Doom Eternal, War Hospital, and Just Die Already, available from September 3. On September 10, members can claim Drop Duchy, the classic Doom and Doom 2, Botany Manor, and Rims Racing. Later in the month, specifically on September 17, Doom Eternal will be offered again alongside Wall World 2. The final wave on September 24 brings Hue and High on Life.

Beyond these headline titles, Amazon Luna is introducing several new GameNight games for social play. These include King of Tokyo, a kaiju-themed board game adaptation, Quiz Time: Guinness World Records for trivia enthusiasts, Bowling Mayhem for arcade sports action, and Cranium Planet, an exploration-focused title. Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are also being added to the standard Luna library for streaming.

Enhanced Features and Retention Policy

Amazon Luna is also introducing a Remote Play feature in September, which will allow players to connect and play multiplayer games together regardless of their physical location. This feature is expected to enhance the experience for Luna's multiplayer offerings.

A key aspect of Amazon Luna's free game program is that claimed titles are retained permanently by the member, even if their Amazon Prime or Luna subscription expires. This provides lasting value for subscribers who take advantage of the monthly offers. Amazon Luna subscriptions start at $15 per month for access to the service and its included games. The service also offers other titles such as Botany Manor, which combines puzzle-solving with gardening simulation, and Rims Racing, a detailed motorcycle simulator. Just Die Already, from the creators of Goat Simulator, offers a chaotic sandbox experience with a focus on emergent humor.
