Capcom has announced the Dark Arisen expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2, set to launch on October 9. This expansion will introduce new areas, dungeons, and customization options to the fantasy adventure. The release will coincide with the game's debut on the Nintendo Switch 2, where it will be bundled with the Dark Arisen content.
The Dark Arisen expansion features the frozen lands of Norgan, a new northern region offering powerful relics that can be appraised to unlock new gear and skills. Additionally, players can look forward to 12 new dungeon challenges and new cosmetic options, including hair and tattoo customization for both the player character and their pawns.
Beyond the expansion, Dragon's Dogma 2 will also receive free updates aimed at improving the overall player experience. The first of these updates, available today, introduces quality-of-life enhancements such as an Eternal Ferrystone and additional Portcrystals, which are expected to address some of the fast travel limitations that were a point of contention for some players. A second update scheduled for August will focus on performance, bringing framerate and general improvements across all platforms, along with extra save slots and various other adjustments.
Dragon's Dogma II: Dark Arisen will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9. Pre-orders for the game will include the exclusive Northern Attire fashion set.
