Capcom has announced a pre-order discount for the upcoming Dark Arisen expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2. Players can currently secure the expansion for $24.89 / £20.74 via Fanatical, which provides a Steam key. This pricing undercuts Valve's own platform. For those who have yet to experience the base game, a bundle including both Dragon's Dogma 2 and the Dark Arisen expansion is available for $41.49 / £37.34 at Fanatical.
The Dark Arisen expansion introduces players to the Norgan region, a snow-covered area under threat from the Fallen Dragon. The narrative centers on Eir, who hunts this formidable beast. Accompanying the new region and story are substantial content additions and performance improvements. The expansion also features new gear options, including Relics that enhance defensive and offensive capabilities, with a chance for unique skills. Additionally, Lost Rites dungeons offer repeatable challenges with rare equipment as rewards, providing opportunities to collect valuable gear for engaging with the game's creatures.
Dragon's Dogma 2 was released earlier this year and has been praised for its combat mechanics, particularly its focus on climbing and battling large monsters. The game allows for extensive character customization, with players able to create unique appearances for their Arisen.
