FromSoftware has concluded selections for the Duskbloods network test and has provided a method for applicants to check their status. Contrary to typical practice, notifications are not being sent via email. Instead, participants must revisit the original application website.

Upon logging into their Nintendo account on the application site, players will see one of two messages: a blue notification indicating they were not selected, or a red message confirming their participation. The red confirmation message has been noted to resemble the developer's signature "YOU DIED" screen.

Network test codes will be distributed through the same website starting August 18 at 6:00 a.m. PDT. The test itself is scheduled to run across five four-hour sessions from Friday, August 21, to Sunday, August 23. While details remain scarce, Duskbloods is described as an eight-player PvPvE experience that pits players against both each other and NPC adversaries. The game features a Victorian Gothic aesthetic that draws comparisons to Bloodborne.

This multiplayer-focused title, an original intellectual property from FromSoftware, has generated some fan discussion following the studio's established reputation for challenging single-player experiences. Duskbloods is slated for release later this year exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2.
