Prominent FromSoftware dataminer Zullie the Witch has provided a detailed look at two new NPC invaders featured in Elden Ring's Tarnished Edition DLC. The video showcases Knight Leontiel and Noble Broken Mask, offering insights into their design and connections to previous FromSoftware titles.

Knight Leontiel is presented as a direct homage to Lucatiel of Mirrah from Dark Souls 2. Her attire, described as a conquistador outfit, and her nimble greatsword are HD remasters of Lucatiel's iconic gear. The resemblance extends to subtle details; removing Leontiel's mask reveals a face that mirrors Lucatiel's, complete with a burn mark over her left eye, a reference to the hollowing rot Lucatiel endured in her original appearance.

Noble Broken Mask, on the other hand, may offer a clearer vision of what the base game character Goldmask, potentially his rival, is intended to look like. While Goldmask's in-game model features a seemingly generic face, Noble Broken Mask displays a more distinct countenance with an austere, pinched face and striking pale gold eyes. Zullie notes that this design shares a notable resemblance with the typically obscured faces of Elden Ring's perfumer enemies.

Zullie the Witch has also provided character creation slider data for both Knight Leontiel and Noble Broken Mask, allowing players to recreate these NPCs using the in-game tools, as most FromSoftware NPCs are designed using player-accessible character creation options. This follows Zullie's previous work, which has included similar deep dives into Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree's NPCs, as well as characters from Dark Souls 3 dating back to 2016.

The release of the Tarnished Edition, along with these detailed NPC revelations, presents a timely opportunity for players to return to Elden Ring. The servers are expected to see increased activity in the coming weeks, potentially offering a more populated online experience for all players.
