New cosmetic options for Torrent, the player's spectral steed, are available in Elden Ring's Tarnished Edition, though finding them requires some exploration.
Tree Sentinel Spectral Steed Regalia
The first of these new appearances, the Spectral Steed Regalia: Tree Sentinel, can be obtained after defeating Godrick the Grafted at Stormveil Castle. Following the boss encounter, players should exit the throne room and take the doorway to the right. Inside this previously empty room, a chest awaits containing the desired cosmetic. This particular skin alters Torrent's appearance to resemble the imposing Tree Sentinel boss.
Once acquired, these Spectral Steed Regalias can be changed at any site of grace. Players can access the option to change their steed's appearance by selecting the relevant menu item. Two other Spectral Steed Regalias are included in the Tarnished Edition: one associated with the Night's Cavalry and another referencing Carian royalty. Given the connection of the Tree Sentinel skin to a major demigod and the thematic ties of the others to characters like Rennala and Morgott, it is speculated that these remaining cosmetics are located in areas associated with those figures.
Players who have already progressed far into Elden Ring or who are not starting a new character for the Tarnished Edition can still backtrack to retrieve the Tree Sentinel Spectral Steed Regalia, even if Godrick the Grafted was defeated long ago.
