Elden Ring's Tarnished Edition has arrived, bringing with it two new starting classes: the Idus Knight and the Heavy Knight. Alongside these new classes, players can acquire new armor sets, weapons, and cosmetic skins for their mount, Torrent. While starting with one of the new classes grants immediate access to their associated gear, other items are discoverable throughout the game world.
Idus Sword and Silver Grooved Set
The Idus Knight class begins the game equipped with the Silver Grooved Set and the Idus Sword. For those who do not select this starting class, the Silver Grooved Set can be purchased from a Nomadic Merchant located in north Liurnia of the Lakes. This merchant can be found east of the ravine leading to the Ruin Strewn Precipice, north of Bellum Church, and west of the Grand Lift of Dectus. The Idus Sword itself can be located separately in southern Liurnia of the Lakes. Players should travel northwest from the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace and search near a tree on a corpse to find the weapon.
Hefty Scimitar and Heavy Knight Set
Similar to the Idus Knight gear, the Heavy Knight class starts with the Heavy Knight armor and the Hefty Scimitar. Players can acquire this armor set on existing characters by purchasing it from the Isolated Merchant. This merchant resides at the Isolated Merchant's Shack in the western part of the Weeping Peninsula, south of the Fourth Church of Marika and the Witchbane Ruins.
Leontiel's Greatsword and Armor Set
Leontiel's armor set and greatsword are obtainable in Caelid after defeating Starscourge Radahn. Following the Radahn boss fight, players can ride Torrent north from the Starscourge Radahn Site of Grace toward the War-Dead Catacombs. Along this path, Leontiel will invade. Defeating her will reward players with Leontiel's armor set and her Greatsword. Notably, Leontiel also appears as a summonable ally during the Radahn fight.
Golden Order Flail and Broken Gold Mask Set
In Leyndell, Royal Capital, within the Altus Plateau, players can acquire the Broken Gold Mask set and the Golden Order Flail. This requires casting the Law of Regression spell on a specific statue of Radagon, a step often encountered during Brother Corhyn's questline. The Law of Regression spell can be learned by giving the Golden Order Principia prayerbook to either Miriel or Corhyn. This prayerbook is found on the upper floor of the arena where Godfrey, First Elden Lord's golden shade is fought. Upon casting the spell at the statue, which reveals Marika, players will be invaded by Broken Gold Mask. Defeating this invader yields the Broken Gold Mask headwear, Gold Tattoo chest, arms, and legs, along with the Golden Order Flail. If the statue has already been interacted with, Broken Gold Mask may invade upon reaching the location marked on the map.
