The Epic Games Store is currently offering two PC games for free to its users: the beat-'em-up River City Girls 2 and the point-and-click horror adventure I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream. These titles are available at no cost for a limited time.
River City Girls 2 is an action-packed beat-'em-up set in the River City universe, which includes games like River City Ransom. The game features six playable characters, each with unique fighting styles, and supports both solo play and co-op. Players can progress through side-scrolling environments, utilizing elemental attacks, guard crushes, and lift-off combos. The game was released recently and continues the saga that began with the 1989 title River City Ransom.
I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream is an adaptation of Harlan Ellison's Hugo Award-winning short story of the same name. Released in 1995, the game is known for its mature themes and psychological content. Players control five characters who are subjected to torment by a malevolent AI known as AM. The game involves difficult ethical choices and disturbing scenarios. Ellison himself was involved in the game's development and provided the voice for the character AM.
To claim these free games, users need to log in to their Epic Games Store accounts. Both River City Girls 2 and I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream will be free to claim until Thursday, July 9, at 11 a.m. EDT. The Epic Games Store regularly updates its selection of free titles on a weekly basis.
