The solo-focused MMO "Erenshor" has launched its "Planar March" update, introducing raids as a core feature. This update allows players to engage in large-scale PvE content by forming raid teams with the game's computer-controlled "simplayers."

The addition of raids was described by solo developer Brian of Burgee Media as the "biggest day for Erenshor since its launch." He noted that implementing this feature was a significant challenge, overcome with community feedback and extensive development efforts.

The "Planar March" patch introduces four distinct raid zones and pits players against 21 new bosses. These encounters are designed to be accessible through the guild menu, where players can assemble their raid teams. Once formed, these groups can automatically enter raid instances without the need for manual coordination outside of the game world.

Erenshor aims to replicate the classic MMORPG experience, drawing comparisons to games like EverQuest, but within a world populated by non-player characters rather than other human players. Players can party up and form guilds with these simplayers, a mechanic now crucial for tackling the new raid content.

The game currently holds a "very positive" rating on Steam, with 94% of user reviews recommending it, indicating a receptive audience for its unique take on the MMO genre.
