Escape From Playtime Announces Playtest Signups for Co-op Survival Horror

Escape From Playtime, a new co-op survival horror game, is now accepting sign-ups for its upcoming playtest, as announced during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct. The game invites players to embody itsy-bitsy toy animals as they navigate a terrifying environment.

Set within the popular Poppy Playtime universe, Escape From Playtime supports one to four players. Participants will take on the roles of "Smiling Critters," small toy creatures tasked by an ominous voice to explore an abandoned toy factory. The objective involves gathering building materials and other resources to achieve an unspecified, presumably benevolent, goal.

A trailer for the game showcased its puzzle-solving, traversal, and enemy-evasion mechanics. Playing as the diminutive Smiling Critters means players are significantly outmatched, navigating environments designed for much larger inhabitants. The game emphasizes decision-making regarding splitting up, hiding, running, and resource gathering under duress.

The game is slated for release on October 21, 2026, and is available to wishlist on Steam. Interested players can also sign up for the playtest directly at EscapeFromPlaytime.com.
