2027 Star Wars Releases
Ahsoka Season 2
Ahsoka season 2 is slated for release on January 20, 2027, on Disney Plus. The upcoming season will continue the storylines established in its first season, featuring two distinct narrative paths. One will follow Ahsoka and Sabine as they are pursued by Shin on Peridea, with Rory McCann stepping in as Baylan Skoll, who will also be a significant part of this arc. The second storyline will focus on Admiral Thrawn's assault on the New Republic. The series is set to bring back Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla. Star Wars (50th Anniversary)
In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the original Star Wars film will return to theaters for a limited engagement starting February 19, 2027. This theatrical re-release will feature the original version of A New Hope, presenting the film as it was first shown in 1977, without later alterations such as the controversial Greedo scene or added CGI elements.
Star Wars: Starfighter
Directed by Shawn Levy, known for Deadpool & Wolverine and Free Guy, Star Wars: Starfighter is scheduled for a May 28, 2027, release in theaters. Set after the sequel trilogy, the film boasts a notable cast including Ryan Gosling, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Amy Adams, Flynn Gray, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, and Daniel Ings.
