New Blood's immersive sim shooter, Fallen Aces, has received its second episode, titled Shadow of Death. The update, which is available now, transforms the game with a host of new features and environments. To celebrate the release, the game is currently on sale for $12, down from its usual $15 price, a promotion that will last until August 8.

The Episode 2 trailer reveals a game that has evolved considerably since its initial early access launch. Players can expect to encounter car chases, expansive cityscapes, and a variety of new weaponry, including the distinctive Mateba Model 6 Unica revolver.

Fallen Aces, developed by New Blood, is part of a lineup of ambitious titles that have seen significant scope increases during their early access periods. The developer's other games, such as Ultrakill and Gloomwood, have also shown considerable evolution, with Gloomwood introducing elements like monster serums, armored guards, and non-lethal takedowns.

New Blood typically employs a strategy of starting games at a lower price and gradually increasing it as more content is added during early access. The initial $10 launch price for Fallen Aces has long since passed, but the current $15 price point is being further reduced to $12 for a limited time on Steam.
