A new mod for Fallout: New Vegas, titled Twilight Eternal, brings an assassin faction reminiscent of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood into the post-apocalyptic Mojave Desert. This mod offers players an entirely new faction centered around assassination, complete with its own base, a main questline, and repeatable radiant contracts for those seeking quick cash.

The mod is described as a "transplantation and re-interpretation" of Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood. The creator, ColdTyrant, is known for similar work on Oblivion Remastered, having previously added numerous faction radiant quests to that game. For Fallout: New Vegas, Mr. Burke, an NPC associated with Tenpenny Tower, fills the role of a post-apocalyptic Lucien Lachance, serving as the point of contact for the new faction.

Upon installing Twilight Eternal and completing the first assassination contract on an innocent target, players will be invited to join the Dark Family. Inside their bunker, they can uncover backstories and undertake a main questline that ultimately rewards them with a new player home. For players interested in more immediate rewards, the mod features an extensive system of repeatable murder contracts. ColdTyrant states there are approximately 10,000 combinations of targets, locations, and bonus objectives within this system.

Unlike some of ColdTyrant's earlier faction mods for Oblivion Remastered, which often relied on in-game notes for contracts, Twilight Eternal primarily uses dialogue. The mod is available in two versions: one that utilizes ElevenLabs AI for voice generation for the new dialogue, and another that includes blank audio files for players who prefer to rely solely on subtitles. This latter option is specifically provided for those who wish to avoid AI-generated content.

Installation of the Twilight Eternal mod is straightforward, requiring players to either drag and drop files into their Fallout: New Vegas data folder or use a preferred mod manager.
