Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will receive post-launch story expansions featuring Sephiroth and Vincent Valentine, according to information revealed on the game's Steam page. The content will be delivered as part of a Story Expansion Pass, which includes two distinct story DLCs. One DLC will focus on the iconic antagonist Sephiroth, while the other will center on the enigmatic character Vincent Valentine and his connection to the Turks.

The release window for these expansions is slated for Winter 2027 through Spring 2028. While specific details regarding the narrative focus of each DLC remain scarce, the mention of the Turks in Vincent's expansion suggests it may explore his past and his former affiliation with the clandestine group before the events of Final Fantasy VII.

The Story Expansion Pass will also include an in-game accessory called the Reclaimant Choker and a Survival Set. The accessory offers a slight HP restoration upon defeating enemies, and the Survival Set provides items beneficial for the early stages of the game. Both the full Story Expansion Pass and the individual DLCs will be available for purchase separately after their respective releases.

However, the notes accompanying this announcement also include a disclaimer that the content, release dates, and other details are subject to change without prior notice. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth itself is scheduled to launch on April 8.
